Been here since August and I absolutely love it. Management is great!
I have to say though, noise has been an issue for me and is taking some getting used to. I have actually heard the person in the apartment next to me sneeze on several occasions and I can hear peoples TV's. I sleep with a fan on, which drowns out the sound for me at night.

Noise is *the* biggest complaint I have as well. I stayed there for 15 months. The trucks are the first thing you notice - and get used to. Except for that damn 5AM trash truck on Saturday. Never got used to that one. Phase II (the brick building) has little insulation between walls or floors, so you hear everything. I would hear when the woman upstairs was coming and going because she wore heels. I heard her getting her weekly sex. I would hear the guy next door practice guitar late at night. I would wear ear plugs in bed most nights. Quiet is more important than convenience.

I have neighbors above and that is a sound issue. Also windows are single pane and anyone having a conversation outside is clearly heard.
The entrance doors are adhusted so they slam loudly.
The delivery trucks to the salad dressing factory at 6 am are loud.Also the many workers on break outside.
Biggest issue is the homeless near the front gate and the run down furniture place at the front gate.
Very embarassing when you have visitors.

Noise and management is a huge issue for me.
The noise is unbarable and embarrassing when you have company.
I have lived here for 8 months and I am not used tomthe noise.
Needless to say that I think this place sucks and I will renewing my lease.
I also will be telling everyone and every publication how noisy the Mattress Factory lofts are. The noise and loss of privacy are not worth the convienience and above average rent.
Oh yea,
The property manager is a liar and is never around. Dont trust him.
