Style and Character help you overlook the faults

I have lived here for 2 years now... The rooftop deck has an amazing view, the courtyard is beautifully landscaped, and the close proximity to I-20, I-75/85, and the King Memorial Marta station are great. The loft spaces themselves are finished pretty nicely for a rental property... Phase 2 has stainless/black appliances which give it a nice upscale feel. Wood floors are nice, but often mistaken for hardwood. In fact, they are pine... which is very soft, and very easily damaged. Keep this in mind as you drag a chair across the floor.
Sound deadening is TERRIBLE. You can hear your neighbor on the phone, microwaving their dinner, watching tv... sometimes you start to feel like a part of their lives, because you can hear everything. Michael, the property manager refers to these as "living sounds." Nice euphemism for NOISY.
The HVAC systems sound like a jet engine at takeoff, which makes activites like watching TV or listening to music best done at high volume, which in turn irritates everyone else around you.
The current parking situation has grown completely out of control because a large number of residents are too lazy to park in the additional gated lot across the street from the building, and instead cause navigation problems for those legally parked in actual marked spaces. And would wouldn't love making a 20-pass manuever to back out of a parking spot because someone inconsiderate A$S decided that you only need 3ft of space to back out. Rather than towing these vehicles, the official policy is to pretend there isn't a problem.
There are 1-2 "parking lot courtesy patrol" officers on duty at night... don't dare call them security, as that would imply they do something besides sleep, converse with people, or watch tv in their cars. In the time that I've lived here, several cars have been stolen, and about a dozen get broken into each year. Yes, its an urban environment, but the parking lot patrol might be mildly more effective if they weren't taking naps.
There is a lot of growth in the area, with some neat local bars and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, simple things like a dry cleaners or a grocery store are a couple miles away.
Thanks to the character and apperance of the property, I've been mostly happy with my experience, and will be staying until I buy a house or move from the area. Its a good place for me, but may not be good for you... take a look and decide for yourself.
