I moved into this apartment with my mother last year. For the area, the apartment is awesome. Even has it's "twin complex" right next door (different color... same buildings). But the problem with this complex are the area outside the gate. Basically, it's the hood. Behind the complex, is a "lower income" housing. The neighbors of that complex were known for cutting across Meadow Sprs complex for easy access to Riverdale Road's busline and even are known for being in the pool. More so than the residents who pay rent at Meadow Sprs. When the management was told, little was done about it. Other issues include, a huge hole in the fence between the before mentioned "housing," the front gate was driven through once and it took a lengthy time to get repaired, and lastly, there has been at least one car jacking in the complex during 2005 that I know of. It occurred along the side with the hole in the fence. I reported the hole (the first time) around April '05. When I moved out in December '05, it was still there and much larger. Basically, this is a nice place in a semi-bad location. And for the record, I am a Black Male, mid-30's, 15-year military veteran. I know all walks of life. Oh yeah, walls are very thin. But that's any apartment now a days.
