Unfortunately Metro Pointe Lofts is the neo-ghetto. They may claim to be safe student housing, but there have been several robberies with no conclusive arrests, though the security HAS been stepped up a bit (partially because I refused to pay my rent until something was done after being held up at gun point in the parking deck). All in all, I would rate Metro Pointe Lofts about as safe as living on the street. Also, anyone living on the eastern half of the building WILL be burdened by the constant passing of trains, which are clearly audible through the "sound-proof" windows. New management has done little to help the state of affairs, but they ARE at least trying. I would not recommend anyone to move in here.
