If this post keeps one person from moving here, it's totally worth it.

Just read everyone else's posts. It might seem like they are exaggerating but I guarantee you that they aren't. Every bit is true. I have only been here a month and already would do just about anything to get out. The fire alarm has awoken me multiple times, as well as loud music, fighting, and other startling noises. Maintenance is clueless.. I fixed my own water heater because they failed twice. They came in for "routine maintenance" and unplugged our washer/dryer so we had to call them to come hook it back up. The locks on the doors didn't work for a few weeks so they propped them all open with rocks... so anyone could just mosey on in. Also I have had people let themselves in to my apartment multiple times, as well as open my LOCKED bedroom door without notice. Everything smells like urine, weed, or hot garbage and looks even worse. I feel afraid for my life every day here and am happy when I can go another day without getting robbed or hurt. Just don't come here. It'd be cheaper to get your own apartment, especially if you are an Art Institute student.
