I've lived at monroe oaks for about a year and a half now, and i loooooove it here! The building is beautiful. "old world charm" is i think the correct term. all brick, early 1930ish style, lots of windows, high ceilings, hardwoods,BIG kitchen. safe building, building has secured doors w/code access. The apartment is enormous, and lots of character. The management team is super nice, and they maintain the building well.They've gone out of their way for me before, and they don't shy away from maint.concerns. I love my neighbors, everyone is so friendly, and you really feel a sense of community in our building, like everyone is watching your back and cares about their home. There's plenty of parking, and that's a big plus for me, my last apartment which was with julian lecraw apt.mangt.- the parking sucked, there was plenty of spaces, but everyone off the street felt free to park there.-and they didn't do anything to help us when people would park in our spaces. MLC properties doesn't operate that way, they take care of things like that so you don't have to stress. It's nice to have a leasing team behind you that cares. I can walk to piedmont park, just a couple blocks, i can walk to apres diem, and mellow mushroom, and the theatre. Everything's close, 75/85 is right down the road, and Va highlands, and Little 5 pts. are only a couple miles away. I love this place!!! I would def.recommend to any good neighbors looking for a nice home. - SN- Apt.#8
