In a huff about the pool being closed on a perfect weekend and the water being cut off for half a day with notice and half a day without notice I recently wrote a review that mocked the management styles of Monroe Place and Perennial Properties. After thinking about the wording of my review I believe it was accurate to a majority yet distasteful.

I believe that overall Monroe Place is a great place to live. While I don't fully understand why I hear one thing and see another when talking to the office personnel I've come to be complacent with their ramblings. I've asked management if there was a way to better track a maintenance request status stating I would even build them a web based program where residents could file requests and check back on the status (even include satisfation surveys) and staff could make notes as to if they were waiting on parts, if it was completed or if they had special instructions to the resident so they would understand how to keep the issue from happening again. I was told to just email the property manager and she would track it on her email.

I think the system I was willing to design for them would have been beneficial to them over this past weekend because then with one click they could have notified all the residents that the water was going to be cut off even setting up to send out txt messages to cell phones.

Communication is really the only area I see a major need for improvement. If the management were more honest and expedient with their communications then residents wouldn't be as irritated as I was. The property management company needs to understand that the people in our complex are primarily the young, tech savvy & business oriented residents of Atlanta and with that we expect them to follow the studies that CNN and Fox News have both done with their conclusion to instant, informative & accurate news and updates.

I know this doesn't sound like a the positive review that constitutes a "move here" mentality but I believe most people can be happy here if they really do follow up and don't just take the philosophy that management doesn't care.

I think your just super bored and have no life. I have lived here for many years and found the staff as well as the management quite friendly and more than helpful! You might have more on your plate than you need so you might have to sit back and appreciate what you really have rather than getting into a keyboard battle about non-sense. if your really that unhappy just move, stop complaining and grow up. I wish i had as much time on my hands as you to do all this bitching!

Amen to that posting. There are good and bad points about living here. The bad seems to be some of the residents. Most people go to work, come home, run errands, watch tv, go to bed, and then do it all over again the next day. I don't the time to watch or care about other people in the complex. All the rumors and mean spirited rumors are just not needed. My opinion is that the management team gets bad reviews from one certain person and as neighborhood can agree, the neighborhood ----- is just that...a -----. A constant complaining to the front office only confirms that they are just that. If you spend all your time sitting on your balcony to spy on people, then truely get a job or a hobby. I think it is sad that this person spends all day finding fault with the complex, the tenants, and the management. I agree with the earlier response...grow up and move ! Oh, and I would add get a job, but a loser is a loser. And please use this site for what it was intended...to rate the complex. This one complainer is using this site to bash people and now people are fighting back. The neighborhood bully...what a "great" thing to be in life!

To the above responder of 01/16: Your "opinion" is just plain wrong. I know for a fact that the four most recent negative reviews were written by four different people, and that three out of four of them do have traditional corporate day jobs. These postings are not by "one certain person," but I suspect the "person" you are referring to is me! How bizarre! This page is not my review; I have one single entry here. Just one. And it's very balanced. While I may not work 9-5 in the rather dismal and sorry scenario you sadly present, I do work. Just not within the confines of your very limited and unhappy views. It's no wonder that within your apathetic drone existence, it never dawned on you that there other options (like trying to make where you live better) than just giving up and moving. Giving up and moving sounds much more like the definition of a loser to me. I have no idea who this responder is, but I'm guessing that he/she, lacking "the time to watch or care about other people," didn't bother to attend the crime awareness meeting last night? That's fine. We losers will cover your butt if you're victimized anyway. That's what a good community does for its members.

after reading the responses to this post it seems that someone has gotten to this person. they obviously had alot of issues several months ago, but now they have completely backed down. WHY? the mgmt doesn't want an easy way to keep track of tenant issues, that would be 21st century. for the longest time they didn't even know who still had gate access and there were wanted FELONS that were getting on property and doing who knows what. maybe even breaking in to apts? if the mgmt had kept track of things the way they are supposed to perhaps some of you would still have your television.
