This place is a mess

The maintenance of the apartments is a total mess. The apartment complex looks good from the outside, but when you open the doors to go inside it is a royal mess. Furnace rooms rotted out, doors inside painted so many times they are hard to close, the door jams are a mess where people have pried them, The kitchen cabinets are spray painted inside, the bathrooms are a mess. For $900 a month, I think you can get alot more for your money.

I agree. I lived there for a year up until October 2005. It was the MONEY PIT!! In the first few weeks we both got really sick and kep smelling gas. Come to find out, the pilot light in the stove was out and the apartmetn was full of gas fumes on top of smelling chemical fumes from the new cheap ass laminate counter tops in the kitchen. Then, in our first few month of living there we had a bad rain storm...then I hear water. It was pouring from the ceiling in the living room area! By the way we were on the top floor. The person that they sent to patch the ceiling a few weeks later got spackle all over my pictures that were on the wall and covered the cheap light fixture that was hanging over the dining room table. But it gets better. Water was also leaking into the kitchen light, which shorted out eventually. We had to get a new motor for the garbage disposal. Oh, and the furnace. I was making these boom noises each time the heat came on. I was really concerned since it eventually stopped working all together. Two maintenance guys came to repair it. They admitted to me that it hadn't been cleaned in gosh knows how long and there was some sort of carbon build up and it could have caught fire eventually. Again, I reported this to the front desk and they did nothing. The last straw was near the end of our lease. I had moved but was still paying rent b/c my roommate was still living there. I would come home once a month to check on my room and my stuff. I kept smelling a really musty smell each time I came home. I suspected that the building had a mold problem b/c I couldn't keep it out of my shower no matter how many chemicals I sprayed on a daily basis. Sure enough, when it came time to move--in the master bedroom closet behind a box that was up against the wall there was an entire wall of MOLD!!! I was so freaked out. It was all along the base board and in the carpet. The mold on the wall covered approximately a 2x2ft area. I took pictures and reported it to the front office. I found out that my idiot neighbors shower had been leaking for the past 3-4 months and he didn't think anything about it. I could have kicked his ass on the spot. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE--THIS PLACE IS HAZZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH!!!
