Not Worth the Bills!

I moved in with a roommate at the end of February, and I honestly didn't know what I was getting myself into. The utility bills at the complex are INSANE! They use both gas And electric. The water bill averages out to be $80 per month with the gas and electric around $150. After not using the heat/air when needed, I soon found out that the complex utilities are paid on a draw, meaning that the complex gets a large bill each month, and the total of that bill is distributed among the residents. SOOOO... even if you are not using the water, electric, or gas, you are still paying for the other people's usages. It's a complete mess.

Not to mention the 1st floor apartment fire a few weeks back. The burnt belongings sat in the parking lot up until the beginning of this week. (Approx 3 weeks) The windows are horrible and not sealed, so all of your heat/air you use goes right out the windows.

There was just a change in the office, and they seem to be really nice. Better than what they had before. There is a lot of potential in this place, but only with A LOT of changes. The only positive I have coming out of it all is location. Not far from the bars and scene at all. As I said, this place has a lot of potential, but if you move in here, be prepared to pay INSANE utility bills.

Lived here?

this is why I am moving. Many of my friends will be moving that live here as well. The new manager is really sweet though. But reading the reviews from all the other conner group properties, all I see is complaints and reviews are bad. The bills are extreemly high and that is exactly why I am leaving. I could actually be living in a very luxury community like Post for the same amount of money that we pay here when its all said and done with. This place is just seriously gone down hill bad since this new management company has taken over. And you are right, that burnt furniture sat in the parking lot for two weeks. Its really bad here. I would have stayed if things were different and the bills was not so high but I am not going to. Its not worth the money paid.

Hehe- that burnt furniture was right in front of my living room and bedroom windows for all that time. Let me tell you burnt furniture is a great smell. In addition, the fire messed up some electrical thing for the A/C units, which took the "new, better" management 2 and half weeks with no phone calls to fix, which still didn't fix the issue for me since my unit needs freon to cool the apartment. The utilities are insanely high, and get higher every year. The gas is not on a draw, just the water and electric, so it would be nice if everyone in the complex was conserving.
