Mount Vernon Place (now this week changed to Windsor at Mount Vernon) has just gotten significantly worse over the last 6-8 months. When I first moved in (back 2004), the leasing professionals were helpful, and had a sense of urgency to resolve your issues. Now, you'll be lucky to get more than a rude attitude from Terrell, some strange new lady that started to work last week and whoever else is floating over here from Dunwoody Place to fill in. This week I received a note under my door stating that the complex is now under new management and none of the old worthless staff is around (what a relief!) I am hoping that the "Windsor" group can address the problems this community has faced including the numerous break-ins, rude ghetto people that are infiltrating the community throwing up in the parking lots and stairwells and the people who continue to throw trash anywhere (including a neighbor of mine who threw a full trash bag onto the roof cause they didn't feel like walking 20 feet to the trash port). Unfortunately I signed a long term lease and am still stuck here for another 9 months! This place has really gone from about an 8 out of 10 to a 2 out of 10 within such a short time period. Also, the rent has increased over 100 from one year to the next! It is outrageous, they have decided to also add trash fees now to your 30dollar a month water bill that was never even disclosed to tenants! The pool has green algae everywhere, even the one right in front of the office that used to be nice. Bugs freely float all weekend long in the water since apparently this place can't afford to pay a poolboy to clean up. It is becoming very dumpy and run-down, don't rent here if you are smart!
