The location is, of course, great. The apartments have a cool, urban feel to them. That's where the compliments end. The entire apartment is about to fall apart. When we looked at it, the electricity was off and there are no windows in the bathroom, so we didn't see the condition of the floor or the 75 layers of filth behind the bathtub. The sink in the bathroom has a separate faucet for hot and cold water - which means you can't have WARM water in the bathroom sink. We go into the kitchen to wash our hands. Also, the shower changes temperature and water pressure every 30 seconds!
The floors have had all kinds of crap shellacked into them and never seem to come clean. The gas bill is the highest I have ever heard of for a one bedroom apartment - we had to weather-strip the place ourselves. The stove doesn't work right and the maintenance guy told us it was because they bought the cheapest stoves possible. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing and saying - upstairs and next door AND you can hear everything people say as they pass by the street outside.
Parking is a joke, especially on weekends when people park in the lot to go to the bars and restaurants - we have parking stickers and there are signs, but no one enforces any kind of parking rules. What a joke!
I know that these "cool" apartments are cheap for the area, but the management reminds you of that every time there is a problem and act like you have no right to ask that a broken door knob be fixed or complain that your water is BROWN. Maybe the renovated apartments are nicer, but we were told many times that we were "on the list" for one, only to find out last week that we actually were never on the list. I know this is a long review, but I have never been treated this way, and deceived this way, by an apartment complex. Rent may be cheap, but this place is a dump!

I currently live in one of the renovated apartments and I LOVE the apartment itself. The people upstairs are another story! I believe the rule is that dogs are only allowed on the first floor but they have two that they like to play fetch with inside!! And I just don't understand why they always feel the need to stomp around in HEELS!!
