As said previously, these apartments are cheap for the location, which can't be beat. That being said, these apartments are also CHEAP! As the previous reviewer mentioned, there is some sort of disgusting sponge deal behind my bathtub that is soaked in filth and the water coming out of the shower is brown until you run it for awhile. The separate hot and water faucets on the bathroom sink are annoying because you can never just wash your face in the sink. The gas bill is outrageous when I hardly use it at all except to cook. The walls are paper thin and you know all your neighbors' business. There are occasionally panhandlers in the parking lot, which is the last thing you want. Who wants to be going home and get asked for money. There is never any parking available if you don't rush home by 6pm, and there is no sort of regulation. The maintenance work is shoddy at best, and they leave no sort of notice so you never even know if the work was completed. When I moved in, my pilot light couldn't be lit for gas and I called the office. It took about a week before I realized that they'd come in and fixed it just left me no notification. The hardwood floors have cracks in them and the cheapest layer of shellack that pulls up if you even walk across them in heels. There's a weird door in my kitchen that can't be locked, but leads into a back door out into the street. I've had to block it with kitchen shelves to ensure I'm not robbed at night. Also, my renter's insurance (which the complex HIGHLY recommends) is out of control expensive because of the fire a few years ago, the weak security bars on windows, and the shoddy edifice of the building. Be forewarned when you apply.

Overall, I'm glad to have saved some money because this is my first place living alone and it is super cheap. That being said, I will not be renewing my lease because this place is a -------- that needs to be remodeled.
