* This price included a water and sewage charged added to the invoice you received every month along with the rent amount. The invoice consisted of the "charges" for the month and a stub that could be used to mail or bring the payment to the rent office. My water meter was broken so I was charged a flat rate for water and sewage per month.
I was shown a beautiful model apartment, I also made a couple of request about placement. Only to end up in a unit that maintenance stayed in as much as I lived there repairing and fixing what should have been done BEFORE I moved in, this was a YEAR long project, had the woods at my back, next door to some trifling, no respect having, no manners having "------- (kids)", wannabe "bullies", with NO guidance from hell, with a begging, two-faced, wannabe "bad" --- mother and a sorry --- excuse for a man, NO job having, ABUSIVE stepfather!! Great neighbors as long as they were getting what they wanted when the "freebies" stopped then the lies started.
The property manager bragged that a former management employee occupied the unit and I replied after being in the unit LESS than a month that I saw WHY they left!! From the day I moved in maintenance was in the unit as the list grew by leaps and bounds with shortcomings with the unit. By the renewal the unit was ready to live in after having the unit basically renovated at MY expense so to speak. They raised the rents $50 making my increase a whopping $725 a month! I wasn't on Section 8 so that was a bit much to handle PLUS the fights with management, maintenance AND Corporate no thanks!!
Management had to put a NEW deck AND sliding glass doors, redo the floors in parts of the unit, close up "openings" where air came into the unit from the abandoned downstairs units through LARGE cracks that ran the length of the wall keeping the affected rooms icy cold like being outside.
Drugs, gun fire, fights, freeloading neighbors AND children, cable THEFT, LOUD noises and music from car stereos and apartments all hours, child prostitution, prostitution period, noisy neighbors AND their disrespectful, bad --- children and friends!!
Management DOESN'T check the Sex Offender register before renting a unit!! During my stay we had TWO sex offenders on the property FULL of children of ALL ages!!! Scary stuff, many of the residents don't even know the sex offenders are coming in contact with their children thanks to Management saying they DON'T have to check the registry when I asked them about it!!
Management is underhanded especially the Property Manager Gloria. She knows how to "cook" the books always in the company's favor and she pockets what she takes in. They advertise the pool and it is CONTROLLED by management so the residents have VERY LIMITED use of the pool their rent pays to maintain. The pool is located AT the rent office and only to be used DURING business hours. There is NO community or activity center, there is NO planned activities for the residents. Unless your a hell raiser or one who stays in the office the staff DON'T even know your name.
Management allows the children on the property to destroy and damage residents cars and everything. Maintenance is a joke they are NOT certified in anything so count on MULTIPLE trips to your unit. It's a HORRIBLE place to live. I have been divorced 23 years, I wouldn't wish Old Town Villas on my ex-husband and I don't even like him!!!
