On move in day they told us that we could not move in after I had my moving company waiting to unload the truck nearby b/c they said the apt was not ready, after I told them I would be expecting them to pay for storage and my hotel bill till they got the place ready they told me 30 mins later that it was done and good to go.....

We moved in to a horrible apt with promices from the mgmt co. that things would get fixed and repaired in a timly manner. Like I was saying we moved into a not ready apt with broken tile, broken window shade blinds, broken front doorlock, broken tracks with the doors for the closet barely hanging on, washer and dryer connections that were put by another tenant that overflowed and flooded the back balcony ( even though they kept charging us like the apt came with a washer and dryer connection from the company), poorly run cable wires under the carpet that creased the carpet and were visible and felt through shoes, roach infested, rat infested.

We talked to ------- the property Mgr over 3 times about our issues and got no where, we had to threaten to go to her corprate office to get a few things taken care of and even then the maintenance crew signed off like it was done and it was not even touched.. I.E. the closet doors and tracks, washer and dryer connection, front doorlock. (I would think it would be a high priority)

Needless to say we got out of our lease and stayed only for 5 months. Leaving was the best decision we made. When we moved in we had neighbors, by the time we had enough our building was empty and the adjacent building had tenents moving out almost on a daily basis.

P.S. Our water bill was always $75 and we barely used water....the place is metered by building and not individually...yea...that sucks.

I am the property manager. I have figured out who this resident is. This was the boyfriend of a temporary employee of the company. He lied about her being a company employee to get a rental discount. He is not being honest about the move in experience. He was obnoxious and demanding their short visit here. His particular apartment was occupied by a previous employee of the company who installed his own washer/dryer connections. I had never met these people in person. I tried to make certain all of their concerns were met. I also let them out of their lease early, even though they were not entitled to this as she was no longer working for the company, even on a temporary basis. I certainly did everything in my power to make certain their issues were addressed. To my knowledge these individuals never complained to the corporate office about me. But this particular individual had some personal issues, and I am certain he would not be happy anywhere. For the record, thier apartment was a beautiful, renovated, top level apartment. The applinces were fine, but One Sovereign Place now offers brand new stainless steal appliances. I am sorry the residents were unhappy, which is why I allowed them to leave without penalty. Most of our traffic is generated by resident referrals. I'm certain residents would not be referring their friends and family to One Sovereign Place if they were unhappy with their living experience.
