Here's the scoop:

Here's the scoop on Paces Station. If you're looking for a convenient, comfortable, and relatively clean place to live with basic amenities, this is for you. I've lived here a year and renewed my lease recently, and the experience has been relatively good thus far. I've lived in several apartments, especially throughout college.
LOCATION:
I chose this complex primarily for its location. You can be on the 285 in two minutes flat, but at the same time, you don't have any freeway noise. This probably as something to do with the fact that it's nestled a foresty area and there are enough buildings around to soften any potential noise. I usually head to the Target/Best Buy area of Cobb Pkwy daily, and if you hop on the 285, the next exit spits you right out there.
NOISE:
There's a train that circumvents the complex. It comes during the day time (I don't know how many times), and every morning at 3AM sharp. I live right up near the tracks, so yes it does wake me up sometimes--depends on when I fall asleep, naturally. I live with it, and it wasn't bad enough for me to move. Otherwise, it's a very quiet complex. The occasional F16 will fly over from Dobbins.
CLEANLINESS:
The complex is kept clean enough. I live in the newer apartment buildings at the edge of Paces Station, so I can't speak for the older portion. The walls are freshly painted and carpet is very clean upon move in, so it's up to you to keep it clean. The grounds are well kept, and the grounds-people are friendly. There does seem to be a roach issue, as I'll find some wicked huge ones occasionally, once a while, in my apartment. I don't know how in the heck they get in here. In a year, I've seen about 8-10.
MAINTENANCE:
Pretty prompt. They had some issue with my toilet which they had to come back 3 times to finally get fixed. I had a leaky dishwasher (must be my luck, it's the 2nd apartment I've lived in with a leaky dishwasher) which the maintenance guy fixed promptly.
PIPING:
Piping is subpar here. I'll be blunt. Every now and then my sink or faucets will cough and cough with brownish water/sediment coming out. Started happening when they worked on the pipes here. You have to leave the faucets running for several minutes to clean out the system, and I've considered having them foot part of the water bill for it, but whatever, I got over it. I was too lazy to complain about it so next time it happens, I'll let them know. That way they can actually have someone know about it. They can't fix what they don't know about.
Water pressure also is weakish in my unit. I didn't bother making a complaint about it because there isn't much they would be able to do about it. It's good enough, but I could definitely use a stronger stream of water during a shower.
PARKING:
Ample, never a problem. Friends can visit anytime.
STAFF:
Most are friendly. The Melissa that showed me the complex is very nice, and even after she rented me the apartment, she continued to be really helpful with everything.
There's only one person that works there who has a bit of an attitude , but so do I, so whatever.
So that's the scoop.
