They keep your hold deposit and application fees

I knew they were going to keep my application fees, however, I had no idea they would keep my deposit I gave them to hold the apartment.
I thought I was going to move, so I found Paces Station, it was ok, mostly I chose it because it was cheap. Appliances are old and nasty. Anyway, I knew I wouldn't get the $100 back for the applications, however, I was told that I could get the deposit back if something went wrong. Well, something did go wrong, and I can't move right now. They of course kept the $100 in application fees and my $100 deposit. So they took $200 from me and all they had to do was punch my information into a computer.
Oh, while I was there I over heard a leasing agent on the phone, someone's apartment was flooding. Also, there are three sections to this place and they aren't connected. If you move into the first section, your mail isn't locked up. I heard that people kept getting their mail stolen for a while there.
I give Paces Station and huge fat F for failure.

You did not listen- I also recently rented an apartment at Paces Station. They told me when I left money for the apartment that they were going to keep my application fees no matter what, and if I was approved I had 24 hours to change my mind otherwise they would also be keeping my deposit. It sounds like they held that apartment for you to move into and you changed your mind, in that case you dont get your money back. FYI this info is also written on the application you signed.

Or maybe I listened but wasn't told. And I knew they would keep the application fees, but the "holding" fee was seprate from the application fee so I thought I'd get that money back at least. Only 2 days went by from the time I gave them the "holding" fee from the time I changed my mind. If you say you only get 24 hours, well, in my opinion, that's pretty crappy... I only took 48 hours. You would think if an apartment complex wants your future business they would look past the extra 24 hours and at least give me the $100 back for that "holding" fee.
Just read the other reviews people before choosing this place to live.
