I have lived at Paces Station for nearly 2 years now. I have read all the other reviews and share some of their concerns.

Safety is a major concern. The gates never work, the access code is easy and it's simple to follow someone in.

The doors only have one very shoddy bolt lock as well. We have received many notices indicating that a robbery occured on the site and specifically lists that the person "Kicked the door in" as a means of entry. We get a notice about a break in about once every other month and the method of entry is always the same. They have never attempted to change the locks or provide more secure doors, when they are obviously flawed.

I've never had much of a problem with the staff, although I don't like them. They're a bunch of girly-girls more interested in chit-chatting than doing business. Every time I need to go to the office for something, I am told to wait while the girls in there talk on the phone, obviously chit chatting or chit-chat with their buddy-buddy customers.

I have had severe problems with ants, although other pests have been few. The ants though are really overkill. The day after I moved in, I found my bathroom shower completely black with ants. Since then, the ants seem to come back every few months, be it winter or summer.

I was told I had to pay a "redecoration" fee as part of moving in and that would cover replacing the carpets, having the walls painted and removing any wall paper if I requested. I did request the wallpaper in the bathroom be removed and the wall be painted before my move in and this was not done. It was also obvious the rooms had not been painted, although the carpet looked new.

At one point there was an air conditioner leak in the apartment and half the livingroom carpet got drenched. When someoen finally came out to fix it, they sent someone over with a wetvac. He said the padding under the carpet was ruined, ripped up the carpet and removed the padding, then wetvacced the carpet and said someone would be back to replace the padding. No one ever did and we got sick of calling the office to ask about it, so we're just living with half our living room carpet not padded and hoping they don't decide to charge us for that when we leave.

Someone keeps throwing trash outside my apartment and it never gets cleaned up. I'll be darned if I'm going to clean up someone else's trash.

The air conditioning is unstable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

And finally, this isn't the fault of Paces Station, but the number of electricity outages in this neighborhood are HORRIBLE! It goes out at least once a month around 8pm and doesn't come back on again until 1am or so.

It isn't bad if you only need to be there for a short period of time, but I wouldn't recommend this if you need a long term apartment solution.
