I've been at Park Pointe North for a year and a half. There have been many problems and unfortunately, the staff is on the dimwitted side. Someone hit my car while it was parked and when I reported it to the leasing office they said that I should just report it to my insurance company and that her car had been hit 4 times by an anonymous person. They also said they would distribute flyers alerting other residents which never happened.
There is an ongoing pothole problem at the first gate. They have had the city come to fill the hole, but because the sprinkler system leaks the hole comes right back after a couple of months.
I play tennis and have had a hard time getting the lights to work on the courts. I stopped complaining after the first year nothing was done. Washing your car can also be troublesome because only one carport works, and at times that one is turned off. I must say that I have never had a problem with the gate. It always closes after each vehicle and was only breifly broken once because of a bad storm.
I've read other comments about bugs, but I haven't had any problems with spiders, roaches, or anything. There was a roach once in my apartment, but I believe that was because the previous day I had the door open for long periods of time. I think one roach in 1.5 years is pretty good. My neighbors are friendly, except for the a**hole who hit my car. The BBQ grill by my apartment is currently broken and I have been complaining about that for months now. Other than that everything else is okay. If you are fortunate enough not to have any troublesome neighbors or any reason to go into the leasing office you should be okay. I like the landscaping and the trees inside and around the apartment complex are beautiful during the spring time. There are not a lot of kids running around, at least in the sction I live in, except for one or two who ride their bikes, and they are very nice and respectable. If they could get some educated people in the leasing office this would be a wonderful place to live. Oh yeah, one other thing that disappoints me is that the pool doesn't open until mid summer and closes sometime around labor day. There have been plenty hot days where the pool could have been open. The scenery around the pool is nice. And there are only 2 stray cats who don't bother anyone and are probably eating roaches or rats or something. Oh, I forgot about my water heating problem. I can't take showers longer than 10 minutes because the water gets cold. The leasing office said I should take shorter showers. This is inconvenient because as a woman I wash my body, hair, and shave in the shower. I wish I could do it 10 minutes or less. They do have a $600 referral fee. Unfortunatly, all my friends are buying houses, I think I will do the same.
