I had gone on an official trip out of Atlanta and my apartment at "Park at Briarcliff" was locked. When I was away someone has been using my apartment. I got bills for cable for PPV movies (when I was not even in Atlanta). No one else had the keys to the apartment. When I came back, I found some stuff stolen (VCR, clothes, jackets, money, grocerries etc). I called the cops and they confirmed that the door was not broken into (the door was locked when I returned and I used my key to enter the apartment).
Who could have entered the apartment without breaking into it or worrying when I would return' Its for you to decide.
It was a traumatic time.
My advice (so was the cops) is to leave the apartment immediately (which I did). Stay away from this apartment complex. It has thieves.

I visited this place last week and I asked the one of the "salers" about the security of the community and she started off saying, "I don't live her personally...", and then I knew right away this place wasn't going to work for me because it looks very sketchy. The landscaping looked horrible at the time and that was last week actually.

I also visited this month. When I asked the person how safe the community was, she also said "Well, I don't live here myself..." and began to beat around the bush. I know they are trained not to divulge information that only the police department should give, but I definitely got the impression that it was an unsafe community. There is a LOT of traffic. The gate was wide open when I visited, and it really looked like the ghetto. The only problem was that it was the only place near Emory that was affordable on a student budget. How is a grad student to live?
