I only had a six month lease because I didn't want to get stuck in anything. Thank goodness. The staff, like most apt staff, are helpful til you sign the lease. They kept forgetting that I hadn't signed papers or didn't have keys or gate cards (when the gate wasn't broken). I was on the below ground floor, the light outside was out for over a week. I requested to get it fixed 4 times-their response, "our systems are down so no one may have gotten it." JUST TELL SOMEONE W/ YOUR MOUTH SO I DON'T GET MUGGED! You're supposed to get money off your rent when they don't have repairs done in time, man would I have enjoyed ACTUALLY getting that money. The bug problem is pretty intense, thank goodness I didn't have roaches. I only put a bed and some couches in the apt, didn't use the stove, and barely the fridge. I paid the $99 to have them clean my apt and NEVER hung anything so there better not be anything taken out of my deposit (if I ever get it). It takes forever to get your deposit back and when you call to inquire they're really short and just give you a general response. If you want to change the address for your deposit refund they can't take it over the phone, you have to fax it in. The business staff is pretty rude, maybe that's why the leasing people refer EVERYTHING to them. The good thing is they give you 30 days to try out the place, so if you don't like it you can move out w/o penalty. Oh yea, I wasn't a fan of hearing the person above me stomping around at 2am or the person next to me having a party at 3am when i work at 4am-EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!
update-i moved out almost 4 months ago and have yet to receive my $600 deposit back. i call and the business manager is out at lunch, at 2pm! I leave a msg and someone is supposed to call me back but that didn't happen. Apparently there's a Georgia law that could require them to pay me $1800 back if i decide to sue in small claims court. I don't want to do all that, I just want my deposit back. Rent was never late and I never had any complaints against me. I wish complexes would appreciate their good tenants. Tomorrow I'm calling at open and if I don't get better answers, I'm going to have to take more drastic measures. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
