I have lived here for just over 2 years. In the past year alone, we have had 2 major floods (8 feet deep in parts) which flooded half of the complex, 3 tree falls in my circle of buildings alone, TONS of construction and rune staring --------, consistent unavailability of work-out facilities and 2nd swimming pool, pathetic parking scenarios, horrible office staff and maintenance, loss of hot water for 5 days, consistent water outages, etc. You get used to figuring out how to bathe w/o water - and fighting the bugs for the shower. When they start construction, resign yourself to dealing w/o sleeping late or finding a parking space for several weeks at a time. Make sure you have life preservers for all the flooding - and good car and rental insurrance. I saw a brand-new corvette completely trashed in last year's flood. Whenever it rains, several of us have our own personal floods inside our apts b/c of bad leaks.
the noise levels are pretty bad. i hear my neighbors having sex, running up and down the steps in the middle of the night, arguing, pounding on the door to their own apt, etc. if they smoke outside, it comes in through my door & stinks up my living room. if one of my neighbors is watching a movie, the walls vibrate from the bass & i have to yell at them to turn it down. or if they have their stereo system up too high, my dishes vibrate - and this isn't even from an apartment that actually shares a wall/floor/ceiling w/ my unit.
HORRIBLE customer service. Once they got you in the lease, they got you imprisoned for the year. The noise is pretty bad too. Ghetto. Bad neighbors. The only reason they fixed up the back pool is b/c they are trying to rent the new building in front of it. Oh, btw, the original building in that spot was torn down after the front wall FELL down. I think they're running a meth lab or a prostitute ring upstairs.... Cheap rent for buckhead, but you get what you pay for.

I was flooded out of my place and couldn't even get my deposit back or the remainder of my rent to find another place. Absolutely no help was given. I lost everything in my place. Before then, it was infested with bugs and maintenace was horrible. I will never rent another AIMCO property. Did anyone get their money back from the flood that destroyed their apartments and took their belongings! Bitter
