Perfect...if you study bugs!

WOW! DO NOT LIVE HERE unless you are going to school to study roaches. Then, you can make this place the subject of your thesis. First, I should have checked this website BEFORE moving in. Also, I should have asked my friend who lived here for a few years. He told me AFTER moving in that the place used to be nice, but as soon as the population changed, everything went down hill.
Back to the roaches. I have NEVER experienced ANYTHING like living here. The first clue was when a leasing person told another resident that they had to spray the apartment three times, and then the roaches would leave. At least, that's what she had to do with her apartment. And that doesn't work. We had the exterminator out at least six times. They had us remove everything from the kitchen and bathrooms and they sprayed everything down. Didn't work. We couldn't put my baby's bottle on the carpet because a roach would crawl on it. Unfortunately sometimes slept on the floor, and at least twice I woke up to a roach somewhere it shouldn't be. Opening kitchen cabinets gave you shudders because you knew a roach was going to fall out or scurry away off of your dishes. I killed about 20 roaches the first night but I thought that was due to being in the basement apartment. It didn't get any better. In horror we found my baby daughter with a roach in her mouth a couple of times. We gave up putting things in the kitchen drawers until the roaches infested the dishwasher. IMAGINE! And when we moved it was absolutely digusting! When we moved our dresser, our bed, file cabinet, any piece of furniture that provided any darkness, hundreds of carcasses and some live roaches were found and/or fell out. We threw away anything that could not be bleached.
The maintenance crew was always prompt and you could tell the management was eager to correct the MANY MANY problems with the complex. However the office people were ignorant and used to getting over on residents who probably don't have papers to be in the country so they don't make any noise.
They painted the hallway and steps one morning. They also painted the crawlspace behind the kitchen. The paint fumes were so strong in my apartment I had to take my wife and infant elsewhere for two days. Before that I called the office to ask if they could put us in another apartment until the fumes subsided, but they refused, saying no one else complained about the fumes. They didn't even send anyone to my apartment to check the fumes. It turned out there was a hole in the wall next to the refrigerator that opened into the painted crawlspace. I spoke to the people who did the painting and they said the pain they used was, "Some powerful stuff. We told them to post signs." However, they didn't. I asked for my rent to be prorated for those two lost days, but no luck. I could take them to court, but just preferred to get out of there.
Fortunately the management was wise enough to let us break our lease. Otherwise there WOULD have been a lawsuit.
