Overpriced -- Trashy Residents

My wife and I moved here having not been able to look at many properties. We did like the interior, and since we came from a place where rents are usually obscene we didnt think that the rent was too high. That has all changed now.
Most of the time the complex is quiet, but we can hear every person walk through the halls with any type of a wooden soled shoe on. Also, every time the person above our unit uses water, we hear it running, and loudly.
The part which has amazed me are the other residents. For the most part they are pleasant professionals, but there is a large share of trash. I discovered this when I was out sick from my usual 65 hour work-week. There was a screaming fight in the hallway, and then I got to listen to music thumping for almost an hour. Now I realize why there are so many cars still in the parking garage when I go to work. Its not because everyone is riding MARTA, but they dont work. There is a constant stream of trash coming in and out of the complex. Sometimes they break the entry gate and just flow thorugh like roaches. Which leads me to my next issue, security.
When Lisa was showing this complex to us she kept telling us about security cameras, and the 24-hour "courtesy guard". Well, Im really not sure what a "courtesy guard" is but Im pretty sure that this person is non-existant. The car gate has been broken not less than a half dozen times, usually by the trash pushing it open to get into the complex. So, apparently there are no security cameras, since this has happened so often and I cant seem to think that they would let people do this repeatedly if they were monitoring the cameras.
The location is decent until you want to go out on a weekend. That might be why all the trashy people migrate to this complex, since it is proximate to the Buckhead nightlife. The malls are close, and that is nice, but I would rather drive a few minutes than have to deal with the either snotty, or trashy people who live here.
