The office staff has two major disappointments.
The manager-the "Pretentious Aussie" as previously and accurately described, is also quite immature and unable to handle resident's problems in a mature, competent manner.
When we approached her about numerous problems we had with the apartment and surroundings, she was very defensive and attempted to explain away the problems INSTEAD of acting like a mature manager saying "I apologize for the inconvenience, and I will get right on it." My problems with the complex weren't personal with her, but she was so immature, she took it personally and brought me into an argument with her.
She is too young and inexperienced for the position she is in.
She needs lessons in how to please the customer.
Her assistant' Suzanne is so nosey and pretentious as well, you would think every time you had a request for them you were interviewing for a job.
They only provide assigned parking spots for each full bedroom you have in your apartment.
It doesn't matter how many people are on the lease, or if you have a study.
They did not inform us of the construction that was about to start when we moved in-3 of the surrounding roads around the complex have been under loud construction for months.
The residents who are worthy of complaint cannot be escaped in this area...
so not Phipp's Place's fault.
The physical problems with the place are many, but include:
Severe window condensation in the winter, poor toilet drainage, horrible noise insulation (in the tiled hallways ESPECIALLY near the stairways) you hear footsteps through the ENTIRE apartment.
(It sounds like a herd of cows moving through when a few people are on the stairs), poor storage, fences around property waist high in many areas--NOT SECURE.
YES it is a beautiful apartment, and beautiful grounds, but stay somewhere cheaper to save your money and buy these fixtures in a house!!!
