I've been at Phipps Place for over 7 years. There are numerous reasons why it is a great place to live.
Here are a few. It has a Publix, Target, Staples, Phipps Mall, Lenox Square and numerous eateries and bars
all in walking distance. If something breaks in your unit, the maintenance team fixes it extremely quickly. I had my AC go out at 3PM and by 5PM they had a new compressor up and running. It was in June too. The place is NOT filled with a bunch of inconsiderate residents. It's a good mix of young and old. Plus there is a Atlanta Police Officer that lives on the property. Bonus!!! You won't be hearing loud music and a dozen or so people next store to you at 2AM on a Tuesday. It has a feeling of a Condo without the Association fees. Management also puts on lunches every month or so throughout the year. Nice time to catch up with your neighbors.
OK, now the bad. A few cars have been broken into over the years. My wife's included. She left her navigation system attached to her front windshield. So long Christmas present. The other cars left things of value in plain sight too. So, the theory is, don't leave valuables in sight. I have a Range Rover and don't even lock the doors and never had an issue.
The pool is a wonderful perk!!! However, some residents tend to bring their entire Sorority and take up all the chaise lounges. That's the biggest bummer in the summer time and that's mostly on Saturdays. Sunday is more for residents with kids. But the cool thing is that everyone respects one another and gets along nicely. At the end of the day that is well worth the price of rent.
FYI... I have also lived at Buckhead Loop (4 years) during rental and condo stages along with Post Stratford (6 months).
Buckhead Loop now Meridean, GREAT roof top pool, but it's small. Post Stratford Frat Party!!!!
