Poplar Pointe Apartments

Apartments Good; Management Poor From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/10/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   I've lived here for a year and I am less than pleased with management. They are primarily concerned with collecting monies, and not with the upkeep of the units. All of my maintenance issues took weeks and weeks of complaining to get attention. I moved in the unit in June and my dishwasher hasn't worked since. I reported it several times, and I only saw results after threating to pay for a replacement and deduct the costs from the rent. Although I haven't had any problems in the last 2 weeks, the front gates are constantly out of order (either stuck open or stuck closed). This gives everyone access (of course with the exception of when residents cant even enter). There have been several occassions where I've come home to a long line of residents waiting to get in to the gates. That's insane! I had to write to the property manager to inform her about the lack of care that goes into this community. The lights on the exterior of my building were been blown for months before they got attention. The gutters lye on the ground from June to March. Shouldn't there be someone that gives these issues attention before the residents become frustrated'!'! These are all potential safety hazards that should be addressed immediately and regularly. They didn't notice all of these things, but they threatened to tow my car because my "tire looked almost flat". Hunh' On the bright side, I didn't have any criminal issues and the neighbors never gave me any problems. I will say that the staff is very polite, but they need a lesson in professionalism. Rest assured that I will be moving at the end of the lease.
