I love it here

A little lengthy review because when i was looking for a place to move to a few months ago, i would have liked to know these things. I have a studio apartment here with a balcony hanging off the back of building 1, off cypress street, next to 6th street.

I lived on campus at Ga Tech for 5 years and I am so glad to move here instead. These are the safest apartments in the area, with gates that work off RFID tags, and the gates are always working. Also the Garage is gated so there are not any random people in the garage. You can drive up to your level that you live on in the parking garage. I hear some music from time to time from neighbors, but to tell you the truth it is not a frequent thing at all, and is usually not bothersom because the walls and doors seem to be pretty insulated. I hear people walk on the bathroom floor above me everynow and then, but not often, because only the kitchens and bathrooms are tile, and when someone walks with heels on that, you can kind of hear it. But because the rest of the rooms are berber carpet, you can't hear anyone walk on that. The only thing that you do have to get used to is the MARTA RAIL running under the building every 5 to 10 minutes, sounds like a rumble that lasts about 5 seconds... Im on the 3rd floor and can hear it. It was slightly annoying the first week here, but can't even notice it now hardly. One more thing, the maintanence guy came within 8 hours of submitting a request to have my shower head fixed because it was really loud, now that is fast. My only complaint is i think my water meter might be screwing me over cuz it is saying i am using about 700 gallons a week, and I know I don't because i take 1 shower a day... i am probably going to have that checked out. Fees, 4 dollar admin fee on your water bill automatically plus the cost of water at .004522156 / gallon and sewer fees at .010033031 per gallon. Also you have to add $3 to your rent to cover the "grounds upkeep" fee.

Rent is expensive here, on par about 200 bucks more than other places, but i am telling you it is so worth it for the condition of the apartments which all seem imaculate, and for the security of only having people that have a little more money than your average joe, living here. So you don't have any low lifes/suspicious people/activity going on. Very Pleased overall.
