Great, yet pricey, complex.

I'm going into my third year living here and overall have been very impressed. I live in the second building (down 6th street across from cypress) which has both perks and drawbacks. The main plus, is that it is less noisy than the main building. It is down the street from Halo and West Peachtree so you don't get any of the direct noise from them. You do however get the late night bar-goers and the occasional loud car, but I find it is quite bearable. As for noise between the apartments themselves, I've never had a problem. The only thing I ever hear from my neighbors is footsteps from above (and I believe the floor above me has hardwood floors). Personally, I've never had any noise complaints against myself either, and being a college student who often entertains guests, I believe that the walls and floors are adequately insulated.
The drawbacks to living in the second building is the lack of amenities (none of which essential however). The other building has a laundry room, courtyard (with gas grills), gym, and semi-rooftop porch area. We have a laundry room. We obviously still have access to everything in the first building, it's just a little less convenient (still not a big deal though).
The location is fantastic. I'm within easy walking distance of at least 20 different restaurants and bars (with a wide variety). It's 4 blocks away from the midtown Marta station which is very convenient if you fly at all. And, most importantly for me, It's one block from the Georgia Tech campus.
The leasing and maintenance staff have always been extremely helpful. The few times I've had a maintenance request, it has been taken care of within 24 hours and the worker is always friendly and courteous.
