Poor Construction -- Renter Beware!

As with any place, there are pros and cons.
For me the pros were:
1.) fantastic fitness center, which I used quite often
2.) great location
3.) offered "free" classes -- such as yoga
4.) I also liked it because a lot of my friends lived there
Now for the cons:
1.) Shoddy Construction -- This resulted in a number of problems (as detailed below)
a.) Noise -- for me it was not so bad since I fortunately had someone in the apt above me who didnt make too much noise. however, on the rare occasions when he did make noise, it was very loud.
b.) Poor energy efficiency -- relative to other places Ive stayed in it required huge energy bills. Part of that could be due to the bad design of the apartment. My unit, which was 1-1-A6 in the floor plans visible in rent.com (http://www.rent.com/property/floorplans/382217/1/1/388427/) was L-shaped and thus lost a lot of heat.
c.) Major bug problem. Again, due to the poor construction (no caulking), we had a serious problem with ants. Even when keeping the place neat and clean, ants were everywhere. I sort of got used to it, but still would have to buy new ant traps about once per week. Fortunately, for me, the poor construction was mainly in the living room and bathroom. So, those were the rooms always crawling with ants. Some of the other units nearby suffered from ants in their bedrooms. To quote my neighbor, "Theyre always crawling all over my bed at night. Its disgusting." We contacted the apt complex about this and theyd have someone come spray about once every week or two. Still, the ants were relentless.
d.) Leaks -- Probably 4 or 5 times, I had some major leaks. Maintenance responded quickly, but still their repairs would only last a month or two before the leaks began again.
e.) Shower parts kept falling off, quite literally. Curtain rod kept falling down. Apparently, in apts nowadays, this is just a tension rod. It would crash to the floor about once aevery couple months. Other pieces of the shower, like the nozzle fell out a couple times as well.
2.) Parking -- For me this was not a problem since I lived near the leasing office, where there was some overflow parking lots. However, others I know in the complex had some major problems with this issue.
3.) Rent Increases -- As some of the others have said, I witnessed some substantial rate hikes in my rent year after year. Over my span there, my rent increased by 40% since the first year I lived there. I also had problems with them keeping a portion of my security deposit.
Overall, the main thing I would be wary of with this complex is the construction. I dont know if all Post properties are like this, or just this one. As a GaTech engineer, I certainly recognized faulty workmanship upon moving in. I was one of the first residents to move to the place, so it was still being constructed when I was looking. Thus, I had assumed that the cracks I saw in the units would be sealed and caulked. I was mistaken. Throughout the 4.5 years I lived there (mainly because I didnt want to hassle with moving), the flaws due to construction worsened. The ant problem and the problem with the leaks continued to get progressively worse. Thus, I suspect the problem is even worse now than when I left.
Again, I dont know if all Post properties are so poorly constructed. Maybe you might consider checking out comments for some of the other Post properties in the area like Post Park, etc. Sorry for the long-winded write-up. Good luck with your decision!
