I have lived here for 3 years. In the past 2 years, this complex has taken a turn for the worst. There have been over 30 incidents of apartment and car break ins that have occurred over that time. Recently the break ins have escalated to all out warfare in here. There have been THREE armed robberies in the past 3 weeks. Post has failed to give its residents prompt notification of these attacks. Moreover, Post REFUSES to take any of the overpriced rent we pay and hire security guards to drive around at night and deter these assailants. Instead, they are trying to play "Cops and Robbers" by trying to "catch" the perps- something that Post is not in the business of. I would not advise living here unless you own a firearm and plan to carry it on you at all times. Don't let the fancy gates fool you. If I didn't just have a couple of months of my lease left, I would leave NOW.

"I would not advise living here unless you own a firearm"? "...all out warfare..."? Seriously? Give me a break. This is not some horrible part of town that is over-run by gang violence. I live here, and last night there were very visible security people throughout the complex, including DeKalb police officers. Clearly, they are taking steps and are concerned. And if you truly feel unsafe, I am sure if you went to the leasing office and stated your case they would let you out of your lease or at least let you transfer free of charge to another Post Property that's not a "warzone" in your estimation.

You can't deny the fact that Lavista road has become a target in the recent months though. Especially Post Briarcliff. It is sad and scary that these events have occured... and pumped up security needs to happen ASAP. I feel lucky to have left Post before these unfortunate thefts, but wish that everyone living there now had the utmost confidence in the management and security. Good luck to everyone there now... and it is IMPORTANT these warnings are put out to the public.

Did i hear you say "cops and robbers?" sounds more like the wild, wild west. Seriously, I am looking to relocate to GA, but now i'm not so sure. Break in's, guns, assaults etc., for this i can stay here in n.y. and get that. And all along i was thinking GA was such a warm and friendly place to live. HA!!!!! I do want more value for my rent paying bucks. But not like this. Thanks for the heads up on certain neighborhoods guys. You folks have me in stitches from so much laughter. Quite a few reviews are funny as h*e*l*l some of you should go out on tour with Chris Rock. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
