So/So Place

The Post Briarcliff is so so place--It is convenient to Emory, CDC, Whole Foods and MARTA. There are better complexes in the area for the same price.
There is a lot of turnover in the office staff. My move in was really good but since then I have had varying levels of service from good to bad. The office is open from only 10 to 6 so if you work and have to stop by the office it is very inconvenient.
The pools and gym facilities are pretty good.
The parking is inadequate many times you will have to park quite far from you apartment or on more than 1 occasion people who are too lazy to walk will park behind your car leaving you little room to back out. They need some type of enforced residential parking system here because I have seen some cars parked in the same spot for weeks.
I have had no problems with appliances or needed to file service requests. But the construction is rather cheap and the insulation is poor you always get to hear you upstairs and next door neighbors.
The community residents are a mix of students, young professionals and some older people. Most are OK and pretty respectful but on occasion there are some really noisy people who will not keep the noisedown even if you ask them to do so nicely.
Security currently is the biggest problem here--
The are two gates for people to drive in and out. and a couple of gates with swipe cards to provide access to the property> (At times the swipe cards don't work) On several occasions people don't close or are too lazy to close the gates so anyone could walk in.
There have been several break ins around the complex in the past 2-3 months and an assault just outside the side gate. When I first moved in there was a guard patrolling at night in a golf cart but I have not seen him around for a couple of months. They do provide written notice about break ins (which has not happened in other places I've lived) and suggestioned safety tips that are just basic common sense THey really should close down the drive thru gate that lets out to the side street and keep a security guard on the main gate at all times to control access to the place.
