I lived in Post Brookhaven for just over a year and loved every minute that I lived there. On the day I moved in, my leasing agent (Ashley) was showing someone else the community but made it a point to say hi to me. I hadn't been there since I looked at the place 2 months earlier, so it was nice that she remembered my name.
Post Brookhaven is the nicest place I have ever lived, and I would (and have) recommended it to anyone looking for a place in Atlanta. The only reason I left was because I got transferred out of Atlanta. If I hadn't left Atlanta, I would have stayed in Post Brookhaven.
I never had trouble with noise of any kind. I really don't think I ever heard the people above me, and my neighbors were all friendly and quiet. I could occasionally hear the train passing, but it was really white noise. I'm sure it would be worse living right next to the tracks though.
When I lived there, I paid around $750 per month for a 1BR and that was the most I had paid for an apartment before. My apartment had ceiling fans in the bedroom and the family room, so that really helped with the utilities. I loved my huge walk-in closet! I had a decent sized pantry, and I was able to rent a full sized W/D from another company (well worth the money).
I lived by myself and never felt unsafe. I thought it was well lit and safe. The gates were always fixed promptly if they were broken from coming down on someone's car. The landacaping is impeccable! I have never seen a place that has as nice surroundings!
