I was just reading the review of the lady who lived on the stairwell.... WOW!!! I lived there for 13 horrible, horrible months on the ELEVATOR shaft. It was the most annoying, disturbing, terrible situation ever. I NEVER slept. Every single night I listened to the elevator stopping and slamming and doors shutting, etc... I slept in my living room, on my couch for a few months. Then I slept backwards in my bed so my head wouldn't be right on the wall of the elevator. I had to sleep with earplugs and a fan on, PLUS my bathroom fan. I just cannot believe that I paid Post rent to live like this- how shameful that this is what they provide. The staff played dumb everytime I spoke to them about it. They literally acted as though I was the first person in the history of Post Chastain to hear the elevator noise and be upset about it. How sad of them!!! They would even go to my apartment with the elevator company to try to do something about the noise and they'd have the nerve to report to me that they didn't hear anything!!! How rediculous! And if I had moved into a new apt. I would've had to sign a whole new lease and pay more money--- what a frightening thought that was. I just wanted OUT. I feel so sorry for whomever is living in my old apartment. Post Chastain is a low-rent, ghetto, nasty place to live. Look elsewhere.
