I have been living at Post Chastain for 2 years now, and it's been a year since I head construction work around me in different units every single day, especially starting at 7:55 AM.
The construction workers are like roaches - everywhere, and you can hear their constant talking about you in Spanish.
The hallways are painted like in the mad-house - yellow and brown, and the carpet is brown. By the time they do the job in full, they ruin what they had done until this point. The evevators are constantly dirty because of the construction materials.
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors seems like they don't air condition at all - constant smell of food and something like "dead rat" is there.
The management makes you move out of your non-renovated unit no matter what, and you need to pay $150 TRANSFER FEE $300-400 increase in rent for the renovated unit if you still want to stay at Post Chastain. No loyalty from this management!!
The pool is the disaster area for more than a year. last year they fixed it, then demolished, then trying to fix again.
Gates are often open, and the security guy at the entrance opens gates to everyone --WONDERFUL!!!
Overall this property is OK if you just come home to sleep, BUT often by ready to be awaken by the sound of the drilling wall next door.
Parking is a mess - there is never a parking space next to your building. Instead, the parking is full of the construction workers cars or their equipment. My car was beaten up by these ass-xxxxx a few times, and I often find their dirty fingers on my cars like if they eat and wipe their hands off of it. Horrible. Tried to complain to the leasing office --- useless!!
Also, management lies at the time of you signing the lease, so BE CAREFUL!! Make sure to put all requests in writing, otherwise you are going to get NONE!!!

Why the degrading language? Calling maintenance men roaches? Wow. What difference does it make what language they are speaking?

Dear Anonymous:
I CHOOSE WHERE TO LIVE. Do you? If I wanted to live in a Mexican community, I would rent somewhere down the road for $500/month. Unfortunately I pay double for 1 br, and I DEMAND the service and nice people around me.
When I moved in, they checked everything: my credit, my background, my employment, etc. So THEY choose who is going to live here. SO why can the NRI employees be here, (and let's leave immigration issues alone, but 99 times out of 100 they don't even have US ID's) and who checked their backgrounds if there are traces of them in this country???!?? At least they need to speak some basic English!!
I know there are a lot of things going on around immigration issue, but why -------- can work here illegally, and thats ok!, but the rest of immigrants from other countries have to go thru the whole process of immigration, and often be screwed?
BTW, I am an immigrant myself.

You need to go ahead and move if you are having so many issues. i dont care that you are an immigrant, no one here is talking about racial remarks like you. you have a lot of issues. welcome to the real world. Learn some spanish and you will realize they dont have all the time in the day to talk about you. is there somethat that special about you? funny to think your complaints about immigrants doing this work. If you found youself jobless, i seriously doubt you would be the first one to work in these same conditions. its a little outside the box of your a/c office eh? get the stick out of your butt its wedged too deep.
