Not worth the money

I've lived here for almost a year. After a horrible situation in a scary apartment, I decided to for-go my savings account in exchange for a "safe" place to live. I have to say, that it is safer than where I was, however, there are car break-ins in the parking deck on a regular basis - despite security cameras at the entrances of the garages. My biggest frustration is with the gate...the back gate breaks about once a week...so you have to turn around and drive around the entire complex to go in the front entrance. My next frustration is with regard to the heat and hot water. When I wake up in the morning, I have to turn off my heat to take a shower, if my heat goes on while the hot water is running, the hot water is replaced by FREEZING cold water. It's miserable, especially these winter months...and as I wake up at 5:15 am, I'm not always keen on the cold burst early in the morning. That brings me to my next point. A majority of the residents here are still on daddy's payroll and while they may work, they stay up till all hours of the night. Additionally, beware of the "train view" apartments. They tried to sell me on one...they aren't "view" they are "train touching" apartments...and the cheapest 1-bedroom is $750 for that! If money is not an option, I would say this is an ok place to live, but you can probably find something better for the amount that you're paying here. Regardless...I wouldn't recommend it. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I've lived here for less than 1 year and met 5 different managers!! The apartment is gorgeous though...I will say that...
