Very Pricey & Units Problematic for Asthma/Allergy Sufferers

The location of PG is great but they are very pricey & have had their fair share of problems not the least of which is stucco-related moisture problems. I've lived here since 2004 in two different apts-one I loved & one I'm "so-so" with. The mgmt has changed two or three times since I've been here. Generally they are nice but you will probably have to call more than once to get maintenance requests fixed esp if you have more than one thing on a request. Car break-ins are common but I think that's b/c we have a lot of college students that keep too much stuff in their cars. Over the years these are the building problems I've encountered. 1) Moisture collects on the windows and you have to wipe it off yourself of mold will build up (this is a clause in the lease; look for it if you don't beleive me). 2) Some units have moisture and mold in the walls b/c of past stucco problems from poor construction. They have taken steps to try and correct the problem including resealing and repainting the entire complex. But, still consider it esp if you have allergies and asthma. I was on one allergy medication when I moved into my current unit two years ago - now I take two allergy medications and three asthma medications. Oh and did I mention that my windows have majorly leaked during two rain storms causing my carpet to get wet and they didn't replace the carpet.

Bottom line: If you won't use all the amenities and you have allergy/asthma, you should really look around before moving here. If you WILL use all the amenities and have no health problems, maybe this is the place for you. I really don't think the complex and construction justify the price - mostly paying for location. Either way, be sure you review the lease clauses carefully before you sign. They have gone to great lengths to make sure they are covered from any damages related to the poor construction of this complex and the improperly installed stucco.
