TOO expensive. 8% - 20% increase when it's time to renew!

If you don't intend to renew your lease, then Post Glen might be the place for you: nice, clean, and well located. However, if you need to renew your rental agreement, expect at least an 8% increase (for a 12-month lease)! At the beginning they tell you 3% but that is a big lie. Have them write that in the agreement! To give you an example, the lease was $1030/month in July 2005, then $1133 in July 2006, and $1145 starting in March 2007. Are you ready to pay a well-above-average rent for an average apartment'!

I am a former resident of Post Glen, and the biggest kicker was at the end of my lease term I was sent a renewal package asking $1155.00 per month for my 1 bedroom apartment with a garage. (I had been paying $1099.00 per month the previous 13 months). At the same time, on Post Glen's website, Post was advertising the same apartment for $1045.00. When I was moving out I told the leasing agent about this price difference between existing residents and new incoming residents' prices. My opinion to her was that this is unfair to the existing residents. She told me the new pricing procedure had some kinks in it that needed to be worked out. Yes, at the expense of existing residents who were in good standing.
