Rent is too high

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002
I lived in Post Lindbergh for 3 years from 1999 - 2002. The property is beautiful and the location is great. Marta trains can easily be heard if you live in any of the apartments on the side that faces the tracks.
I was very disappointed in the cooperation we received from the front office at the time of renewing our lease. In a time when the economy is poor, Post Lindbergh still tried to renew our lease with a $90 per month increase (3 bedroom apt.). Similar apartments in the area were renting out 3 bedrooms A LOT less. The 6 month renewal amount was even more ridiculous.
I was really surprised at how little Post Lindbergh was willing to work with us (3 year residents of their complex that never had any compliants and always paid rent on time). We were able to move to a 3 bedroom apartment in a non-Post complex with similar amneities/quality/location, for about $200 less per month.
Post also really hit us pretty hard for an "excess carpet cleaning" bill when we moved out.
