A Great Choice

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

I've lived at Post Lindbergh for almost a year now, but it almost never happened because of this site. Before moving to Atlanta, I drove in from out of town and spent a weekend apartment hunting. I stayed at a friend's apartment that happened to be at Post Lindbergh, and I used it as sort of a base of operations from which to go out and look at properties. I spent an entire Saturday looking at several apartment complexes, but Post Lindbergh wasn't one of them. You see, I did my research, and I was unsatisfied with Post Lindbergh's reviews on apartmentratings.com, so I didn't even consider it. It was after looking at all of these other properties in Midtown, Buckhead, and beyond that I realized that Post Lindbergh had the right mix of location and price for me.

The location is fantastic. MARTA is across the street, and I-85, GA 400, and Buford Hwy are all very close too. The Lindbergh City Center is a great area (though slow to develop) that's only a 5 minute walk away. There they've got a Taco Mac, Urban Flats, and a soon-to-open Firkin & Lindbergh Pub (hurry up!) among others. Target, Best Buy, and a Post Office are all very close as well.

I won't comment specifically on some of the other posts here, but I will say this: You have to do your research before you sign a lease. Come up with a list of what you really want in an apartment, and send that to your leasing agent. In the case of Post Lindbergh, I wanted an apartment that was:
- Close to the parking deck so I would always have a spot available nearby and so I could keep my car out of the elements
- On the North side of the complex, close to MARTA
- NOT on the first floor, since those units are more susceptible to break ins, no matter the apartment complex
I got what I wanted, and I haven't had any issues.

My one complaint is the limited leasing office hours. I wish the office were open earlier on weekdays and on Sundays. If you need to talk to someone in the leasing office on Sunday, you're SOL.
