We were mugged outside the apartment complex. It took the courtesy office more than an hour to call us back (we called the answering service from a friend's house and were worried that the three guys who assaulted and mugged us would get into the complex. They had my checkbook with our address, the gate clicker and keys to the apartment). The on-call maintenance guy, Ronnie, cursed us off and hung up on us, after we begged him to come and open our door for us and change the locks. It was Sunday night on Memorial Day Weekend. He lives an hour away and didn't want to be disturbed. The assistant manager of Post Renaissance, David Eskridge, later raised his voice at us and told us that Post had done nothing wrong, that they had only followed policy and procedures. All we wanted from them was some sort of professionalism, some sort of sympathy toward us for what had happened and concern over our safety. We got nothing but rudeness. We moved out a week later.
Post is great at fixing your drain within 48 hours. But they are horrible when you really need them in an emergency. The neighborhood is incredibly unsafe. And they could give a damn about their residents.
Also, our car was broken into in the parking garage. The courtesy office told us that he suspected it was broken into by a fellow resident. The apartment complex is gated, but that means nothing in terms of security, inside or outside the complex.
