Excellent place to live, but beware of Lease Renewal

I have lived in Post Ridge for 6 months now and it is the best apartments that I have ever lived in.
They are are little pricer and also the apartment size is small but the it is a decent value for money.
The only down side I see here is the policy of Lease Renewal. Every lease renewal, the monthly is surely going to go UP. 9% UP on average!! So if you are thinking of renewing your lease every 6 months or so, this is not a place to be!!

Why not just get a year lease then? I'm thinking of renting an apartment here in March, and thinking of doing a year lease. Is there a reason why you wouldn't do this?
