Apartments were nice and at a reasonable price. However, I was robbed 3 times in less than 2 years. Twice my car was broken into. Both times my glass was smashed in, my radio was stolen, along with other possesions in my car. Both times my car was broken into I was one of several people that had their radio stolen that night. The final straw was when I returned from work to find my front door kicked down and all my valuables stolen. It did not appear to be isolated incident either as I often saw police activity in our apartment complex and heard of other break-ins. I wouldn't move back in if you paid me. If you're looking for an apartment, go find another place to live.

I've been living here for just over a year now and I've never seen police activity once. This community is extremely calm (too calm sometimes). Most of the people that live here are young single professionals. There are hardly any families and kids. So you can imagine how quiet it can get. The maintenance staff is exceptionally amazing! Irreplaceable. They're always very friendly, courteous, and quick to respond. As far as crime is concerned though, there was one incidence where the exit gate was broken. However, the management staff hired at 24hr security guard to monitor that no one came in through that gate. I've always felt safe here.. I think the review above was written to bring down Post Ridge's excellent reputation. I must say, however, I have one big issue with this community. The girls that work in the office seem extremely lazy. They don't seem to be interested and enthusiastic about their jobs. It seems like they're too concerend with their looks. I must admit they all look pretty hot. It's just unfortunate that the abundance of beauty was sacrificed at the cost of intelligence and motivation.

Beyond what the other response referenced, there was one other incident that was reported, and a memo was sent to all residents. I've lived here for two years, and one incident isn't bad at all, considering. I know nothing about the incidents the original post indicates. Either he or she is lying, or the property has kept it under wraps. Given their forthright demeanor about one incident, I don't see why they wouldn't communicate with the residents any others.

I think the reviewer is confused about where they live ..

I agree with the previous poster - that's the impression that I got as well, that perhaps the person who posted this review actually got confused about the name. Perhaps they clicked on the wrong link and wrote the review without paying close attention to where they were posting.

I agree that the person might be confused ... however i did hear of a rash of robberies taking place, but none involved smashed doors and windows. It was some kind of staff problem. This is a gated community and generally the rush to drive behind other vehicles is not to bad --- however since the beginning of 2008 the demeanor or the tenants has become much younger and rowdier-- it is also in Atlanta so that in itself might be an indication. Though I had a horrid experience while living there for 2 years I only a few times felt unsafe and one of those was due to a fist fight in the parking lot between a guy and his girlfriend... ------ on Blondes but she won the fight then someone called the cops who took him away. I would not call it unsafe.

I was the original poster that was robbed. I'm definitely not confused or talking about the wrong apartment complex. This was at Post Ridge in Atlanta. After each break-in, I urged the property management to notify all of the residents. Despite my efforts, they only sent out a flyer after the first time when my car was broken into. The police officer who arrived to write up the burglary said that there were over 10 cars broken into that night. I guess that's why that crime got reported and the other two isolated incicdents did not. So whether you knew about the crime/break-ins in the neighborhood or not, they were definitely going on. Management just didn't want to tell you about it. I guess they wanted to continue to make you feel safe. And don't think that because there is a gate at the front of the community that you're any safer. I thought that too when I moved in but 3 robberies in 2 years quickly changed my mind. Once again I state that I would never live there again.
