Rent is a lot more affordable for new residents, though that may not be a good thing....

Although current/long-term residents probably pay high(er) rent, if you check out current rents on the website, the overall cost for new residents is significantly lower than what Post Ridge used to charge (example: it used to be a 1bdrm could easily go for close to $900 for NEW residents - currently on the website, I've seen rents as low as $680 or so).
Honestly, I think the lower rent has enticed a certain class of resident, hence the recent spike in nefarious activities at the complex. There is a reason I was willing to pay more to stay at a Post property, but it's rather obsolete now because the rent is much more affordable.
Maintenance is very prompt, which I always appreciated.
If I may be candid, I've never been that impressed by the landscaping. Don't get me wrong - in the spring, the tulips outside the gates and by the signs are really nice. But inside the complex has always been a different story. Shrubs haven't always been cut back on the walkways and often, the grounds sometimes has a unkempt look. I may be too critical here, but for the amount I paid, I expected a more crisp look. I've paid less in rent for better landscaping.
As for management, well, the ladies who work in the leasing office have never been particularly warm, even if they are professional. I didn't visit often, and I was also less than impressed with the management's initial communication when I had a major maintenance issue while at work (the apartment above mine had a pipe burst, and the water caused some pretty serious damage to my apartment and the apartment next to mine). Unfortunately, it took me writing a strong letter for them to respond properly, although I never had any issues after that.
Overall, I'm ambivalent on recommending Post Ridge. My apartment layout was very nice, but parking was such an annoyance. In addition, with the increase of some activities, I don't know if I'd recommend a single lady live there. The surrounding area is pretty nice, with quick access to the interstate. It's certain more affordable for new residents to live there, although I'm not convinced that's a good thing.

This makes me sick to think how much friggin' money I threw away living there. In the end I was paying $1125 a month plus $100 for a garage. Yeah, it was a 2BR/2BA and top level, but SO not worth $1225 a month. I was never so overjoyed as when I finally told them I would not be renewing and they could kiss my rental income goodbye.
