In spite of the luxury level rents - thanks to the neighborhood - (over $1000 for one-bedroom) Post Stratford is not one of those super-deluxe apartments with so much gilt and glass you are afraid to breathe lest you soil something. The concrete halls are scuffed and cigarette butts are not uncommon. What makes Post Stratford so special and for me worth it are the grounds. On the terrace level is a virtual botanical garden. At night it becomes magical, with the lights twinkling. Down the stairs at every building is another beautiful courtyard with a fountain. The high-rise going up next door rains down a shower of styrofoam pieces which get in everywhere. That is temporary (I hope!). I happily put up with that nuisance to be in a place that is so beautiful, and so accessible. Did I say it was walking distance to MARTA'
