Gun Shots All Night (Seriously) - Fearful Resident - Aug 1, 2008
The Preserves at Bent Creek is not a gated community. We have unauthorized people(killers and drug dealers as for as im concerned) comming through the woods all day and all night using the wooded area behind The Preserves at Bent Creek as a shortcut to the complex, an excape from the police(and what ever else) and as a gun range. it's only gated for looks and only were the eye can see at this point i am now sceard for my life. To top it off the management staff is full of ignorants. they are not trying to do anything about the problems. The last time i confronted the management staff about the shooting out side, the roaches, ants, and lizzares in side of the apartments, they told me that I could fill out a notice to move, and also stated that I needed to MOVE. To top every thing off my neighbor/ classmate was robbed going in to her apartment unit last night at shot gun point. (Leaving school 08-05-08 at 9pm.) What are we suspose to do!!!

This is extremely disheartening. I just moved in a couple of Fridays ago. What I don't understand is why management hasn't notified the tenants of the incident.. It may not be a requirement by law, but I still feel that it is common courtesy to let the tenants know what's going on so that everyone can remain vigilant. I am a single female who, from time to time, enters and exits my apartment after dark. This is crazy, and you are right; what are we supposed to do? Do we as tenants have any recourse at all??
