I have lived here for 2 and a half years. When it was Post Oak, the management was great, landscaping was pristine, and the reliable POST name was proof of its value. However, after it was bought by equity apartments, the summer of its transition was full of problems, including a dirty laundry room and pool, rowdy neighbors, and a constantly broken gate (imagine not being able to gain access to your own apartment!). There is only one person who works in the leasing office who is helpful and friendly, the other two don't care about you being a happy and loyal resident. The only upside is that the roach problem has become better since equity came in.
SAVE THE EXTRA money each month and go down the street to Post Briarcliff where you'll still have the convenient location. You'll be much happier you made that decision.

Agreed -- Equity cuts all kinds of corners compared to Post. I don't really blame the staff for that, but I lived there during the transition too and the plummet in quality was immediately visible. Why are you still there over a year after it happened? I split after my lease ended.
