Fire Hazard From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/13/2003 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003   The management is run by amateurs. Problems' "Sorry, not our fault." No "problem solution" attitude, no "customer satisfaction" attitude. Due to a failure on the water heater thermostat, had to pay a power bill 100% higher than my average. The management never recognized that the fault was caused by poor maintenance, moreover, they did not recognize that poor maintenance of the air-water system can cause a fire hazard. The problem is caused by an overflow of condensation water from the air conditioning heat exchanger installed on top of the water heater. When overflow occurs, water drips into the electric thermostat of the water heater, causing a short circuit and fire, as it happened in my appartment. I am aware of 3 more cases in my building. Nothing was done after I sent a letter to the managment, actually, they did not even take the time to answer or let me know that they got my letter!! (Which I personally dropped at they management office.)
