Retreat on Roswell

Mixed From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 12/29/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   Mixed feelings. I've lived here for 1.5 years, so I do like it. Im not sure I'd recommend it to a single female. It's a little sketchy. The back buildings are where it's at. They've been remodeled and have nice porch views of some nice trees and a creek/ravine. also quiet back there. no question, it is a --------, but the remodel apts are nice and the inside is what counts in my opinion when renting. the staff seems cyclical. i've seen some terrible imcompetence but also some quickness. the maintenence turnover is rapid, but it is good now. they also do a hell of a job cleaning up after the tenents. they are the worst. chicken bones in the parking lot. trash bags, cups, beer bottles. some dirtbags drop their trashbags in the trashcans near the mailbox. the cleaning crew clean 2x a week and i come home for lunch its clean, when i come home at night, its already trashed again. there are some ghetto ass people who live here for sure. no crime for me personally. knock on wood. i would get renters insurance here though. for what you pay, its cheap. i would recommend renting a remodeled and ask the price when visiting and right after that demand to see the laundry room. its usually awful. then renegotiate the price while in the laundry room with standing water. get budget power billing too. the insulation is non existant. the window glass is paper thin. walls cold. pipes freeze... again there are only about 2 buildings worth a crap and they are in the back. price good. neighbors, not so good. it's quiet though. ill be back if something awful happens, that is unless my computer is stolen! like i said too, cheap!
