Retreat on Roswell

Trashy Office Staff From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/22/2006 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   My husband and I lived here from 10/2002 to 2/2003. The first day we were to move in, my husband and I had just gotten home from buying groceries, we put our key into the door, and the door did not open. Apparently that day, maintenance changed our locks, and had not given us the key. So, we had to wait outside our door for 45 minutes with groceries until the maintenance guy came to open the door. In terms of noise, our neighbor had a small dog that constantly barked, and could always be heard(Thin walls).The worst situation was when we put in our 30 day notice. We were paid up until 3/03, so our plan was to put in our 30 day notice on Feb 1st, and to then go to California to visit family, and then come back by March to pack up our stuff and clean our appartment. Well, while we were on vacation, a friend at the time (an x friend now)had her boyfriend call The Retreat on Roswell and say that he was my husband giving the complex permission to give out a copy of our key to our friend. So to make a long story short, our friend's boyfriend Jason picked up a copy of our key from the office staff and went into our appartment and basically cleaned us out of house and home so that he could get necessities for his mother, who just got out of prison. The staff never once called us to verify if we gave our friend consent to enter our home, they just gladly handed over the key. We found out about this because our friend Tami called and said what her boyfriend had done, and she thought it was funny. When we called the complex to ----- them out, they simply sat silent for a few minutes and said that they thought we had already moved out, which is complete -------- because we hadn't even turned in our keys. Only rent here if you want the staff to gove out keys to your apartment. This complex is TRASH!!!
