I found Riverview online when planning to relocate from another state. The photos looked good and the $8 million renovation sounded wonderful. The square footage was HUGE and the price was more than reasonable. THAT is when I should have known better, but unfortunately I didn't!
Here's the run down on the ACTUAL living environment of Riverview.

ROACHES are a problem that will likely NEVER be resolved! I don't mean a few...I mean they literally BREED in this place. Since some units were still being remodeled, I tried to believe that they were stirring them up and that it would stop eventually with pest control. NO!! 8 months later, still a tremendous amount of roaches and it's just NASTY!

Within the first two months of living there, my hot water heater leaked and I only noticed due to the HORRID smell. The heater is behind a wall and totall concealed; therefore you don't have any idea where it is. I had furniture directly in front of the wall and never knew that the carpet was wet. When finally determining the location of the smell, I found MUSHROOMS growing in my carpet. I called for maintenance and they simply came in, cut the carpet, removed the pad from the area that was wet and placed an industrial fan blowing on my carpet. No note, no explanation or anything. This was Friday and it sat there unattended until Monday, when I came downstairs for work at 9am and it was gone. Nice to know that they enter the apartment without warning! SCARY!

Anyway, I called and told them that they needed to remove the carpet entirely due to mold. Not only am I highly allergic to mold, but mold spores are deadly to everyone!!! They simply came in while I was at work and put a new piece of padding directly under the same carpet and didn't even remove the mushrooms! I've fussed...nothing has ever been done.
Remodeling work was shoddy. Outlets are either too large and you can't keep a plug in them or they simply spark and catch on fire! Porch light wired wrong and NEVER fixed. Air return was so nasty that it looked like a blanket of dust. It took them 6 months to vacuum it out.

Dumpster on property for trash is ALWAYS disgusting. The tenants pile their trash AROUND it rather than putting it in and it is impossible to get near the thing. They have actually had to hire people to come clean it up every day because they can't control the tenants. They posted signs saying to dump it, but it didn't do a thing!

I am not easily frightened, but this neighborhood is just plain scary! Thugs walk around at all hours, pit bulls are everywhere and I even ran up on what appeared to be a drug deal one evening. They have gates, but they don't matter becasue they either don't work or people just let others in anyway.
They added security, IF you can call them that. Their shirts say "enforcement" and all that I've ever seen them do is sit at the back gate in groups letting folks in anyway.
Within a few months of moving here the buildings were spray painted with graffiti by vandals and someone tried to steal my car tag. Thank God for the one bolt that wouldn't come out!

Management is nice, but gets nothing done. They promise the moon, but are either lying to you or really want to believe the pipe dreams that they tell you. Read the reviews from when they were called "berkshires of Dunwoody" and you will know exactly what to expect. They spent $8 million dollars and changed their name, but its still a horrible place to live!!!

In a nutshell...
ONLY move here if you enjoy ROACHES, THUGS, DRUGS, VANDALISM, TRASH PILES, MOLD and REPAIR ISSUES GALORE!

Oh, if you want photos of mushrooms on the carpet, trash piles at dumpster and the air return filth, just let me know!

One more thing that I forgot...
They lured me in with offering "in apartment" security. The panel was even on the wall, but after moving in and having ADT come and activiate it, I was told by ADT that the panel on the wall was attached to NOTHING and was merely a box on the wall. When calling the manager to discuss it, she simply said that they never said that the panels worked, nor did they offer it in their ads. WRONG and false advertisement!!!
What's funny is that 2 months later we received a note that said that someone would be coming into our apartments to remove the security panels. What they left behind was a giant plastic plate.

I guess they can't get people in here with the truth!
